What about the legal aspects?
That is a biased statement
self driving cars malfunction more
The problem is they currently ignore unexpected events fearing too many false positives
The underlying problem is AI's and vision systems don't yet understand meaning
Google says it's self driving car drives better than you
This should be a proof not a refutation

Self-driving car drives better than human-driving car
If a self-driving car kills a pedestrain, who is to blame? The manufacturer or the passive driver?
Google will obviously try to promote this technology because it is a vendor of this technology. Till now self-driving cars have only been used in controlled and limited environments. There have been mishaps and accidents as well (including Tesla), and actual traffic is still too complex for a computer to navigate it successfully. The chance for a computer malfunction is pretty high and the consequences can be fatal. Self-driving cars are still in an experimental stage. It could only be a great success, if the tracks/roads for it are specially made and digitally sanitized. But then it just becomes like a train on a track.
