Buying a dog from a breeder instead of adopting from a shelter contributes to the overflow and euthanasia of millions of dogs a year.

More people should try to adopt dogs instead of buying them from breeders because there are already so many unwanted dogs in America. Buying a dog from a breeder contributes to shelters having to euthanize their overflow. Not only that, but many people adopt dogs from what seems like a good puppy breeder, only for it to be a puppy mill. We shouldn't increase the demand for new puppies, when there are so many dogs getting killed everyday because we bought from a breeder instead of a shelter.
